Although Winslow Park has a small beach it always seems big enough for the children who have a fine time playing there.  Weekends are busy during the summer but weekdays and in the fall you will find yourself alone many times.  There is no lifeguard - swim at your own risk.

A map of the Winslow Memorial Park and Campground is available from the town of Freeport website at this link.

The beach has a swimming platform to swim to.  During low tide it rests on the beach bottom but during high tide it is deep enough to dive from.  This is a protected water area so there is not much wave action on most days.

A brochure of the Winslow Memorial Park and Campground is available online from the town of Freeport website at this link.

Group picnic shelters are available for a small fee.  There are two structures to have group gatherings for your family reunion, club, organization, or company picnic.  They have many picnic tables under cover from the weather.  Reservations are necessary.  These are located convenient to the playground, bathrooms and beach.

There are an abundance of picnic tables scattered throughout the campground and park.  Many have outdoor grills for charcoal to cook from.  The campsites have metal fireplaces.

Centrally located within the park is a large grassy field.  A volleyball court, swingset and other play apparatus are available for children.  There is plenty of room for the pickup game of baseball, football or soccer.

The boat launch at Winslow Park sees a lot of use.  Small motorized boats, canoes and kayaks can be launched here and there is convenient parking after launching your boat.  This is a wonderful area to put in your boat or kayak.

One of many beautiful views found at Winslow Park.  There is a short trail that follows the coastline of the park and campground.  Lots of benches and scenic views are available along the well-kept walking path.  At the very tip of Stockbridge Point you get a wonderful view of South Freeport Harbor with its many fishing and pleasure boats located at the mouth of the Harraseeket River.
